Jedi: Fallen Order - a new Star Wars game that has been announced for next year

Alongside EA’s typical E3 press conference which included many sports titles such as Fifa 19, Dice also acknowledged their mistakes with Star Wars Battlefront 2, and even announced a new Star Wars game: Jedi: Fallen Order. Information was sadly sparse, but it appears that it’ll be a story-driven game and will be focussed on the downfall of the Jedi.

It was confirmed that this game will be set in-between episode 3 and episode 4 in the Star Wars saga, just like recent releases such as the Solo spinoff movie. The Darth Vader comic has also been set during this time, and has recently focused on Vader and his Inquisitorius hunting down the remaining Jedi, which even included an interesting twist from Vader himself.

The EA representative repeated constantly that the new game focuses on “dark times.” This doesn’t seem like much to off as you’d expect that from a game which focuses on the repercussions of the Emperor’s Order 66, but it could hint that you play as a surviving Jedi. It would be amazing if the Jedi was a character well known like Ahsoka, but it seems more likely that it will be a new Jedi who we’ll be introduced to.

But could the "dark times" hint potentially relate to the Sith? Could you be a Jedi-hunter? Maybe it could be related to that surprise appearance from Solo: A Star Was Story?

Jedi: Fallen Order will be released in the holiday of 2019, and hopefully more details will emerge soon. But for now we can all thank the Force that finally a new single player Star Wars game is being made!
