Red Dead Redemption 2 - Gameplay Trailer revealed (video included)

Releasing on October 26th, Rockstar’s return to the late 19th century America will follow Arthur Morgan and his gang as they face the changing world. The first gameplay trailer was just released, and it looks incredible!

Rockstar have crafted a huge, wild and lawless frontier to explore. The environment includes harsh mountain trails, swamps, bustling towns, and so much more! It looks completely beautiful: one of the most graphically perfect games we’ve ever seen.

The setting may be vast, but you can create camps to own a bit of your own land. At these camps you can play games with other gang members, do chores, or relax and listen to others tel their stories. Each member of the gang will be fleshed out: having their own background and tales to tell. If you listen to these stories and bond with your crew members then opportunities for new side quests can become available.

But your crew aren’t the only NPCs that you can interact with. You can interact with other NPCs to intimidate them, chat, or just cause trouble. Confrontations can be escalated or defused; just like Life is Strange, your actions will have consequences! It’s not just NPCs you interact with, but horses too! There’s a variety of different horses available, each with their own characteristics, and your bond builds with them meaning they’ll become more willing to follow what you want. It’s a technique that was very successful in Breath of the Wild.

Not all animals are there to build a bond with though: wildlife can attack. You can join hunts, or hunt alone, which offers new fighting styles. Animal skins can be sold for cash in a variety of different stores. But obviously, that’s not where combat ends! Fighting has been improved, and each weapon has different characteristics, with realistic reloads and recoil. And thankfully the dead-eye system makes a welcome return!

There’s still so much to come from Red Dead Redemption 2, with new gameplay trailers hinted at, so be sure to stay tuned to TriForce Reviews for all the latest news!
