There won’t be a Witcher 4, but that doesn’t mean that there won’t be another Witcher game!

CD Projekt have recently revealed that they won’t “leave the world of The Witcher

For many, The Witcher 3 is the greatest game of all time. Based on the Fantasy novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, The saga created a unique world of historic feuds, corrupt royals, and tainted morality. CD Projekt adapted these novels to tell a new tale based on Geralt: with The Witcher 3 ending the trilogy.

But in a recent interview with Bankier, President Adam Kicinski stated that “The Witcher is one of two franchises on which to build in the future activities of the company.” Despite Geralt’s story being concluded, it seems that CD Projekt are not done with the franchise. With a new Netflix show also coming, The Witcher could be huge moving forward!

Just don’t expect it to be The Witcher 4; "the first three Witchers were by definition a trilogy, so we simply could not name the next game The Witcher 4.

This opens up the potential for new lead characters too. Ciri was a hugely popular character from both the novels and games, so she could make a great lead. Perhaps there’ll even be a new student at the Witcher Training Academy that we get to follow. Either way, we’re more excited than Dandelion telling a story or singing a song, and we can’t wait to return to the world of the Witcher!
