Engorgio your Harry Potter dreams with Hogwarts Mystery, the new mobile RPG releasing in the Spring

All of our owls are as old and useless as Pigwidgeon, that’s why our Hogwarts acceptance letters haven't arrived yet, right? Well we won’t have to wait for too much longer: Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is currently riding a Nimbus 2000 to all of our smartphones, and will arrive in the Spring. It’ll give you the chance to live out the Hogwarts experience, far away from the boring tedium of muggle life.

Created by Jam City, this new Role Playing Game will allow you to create a student who receives a Hogwarts acceptance letter. And from there your journey will begin as you decide which house you want to be in (sorry Sorting Hat) and attend all your favourite classes! Of course this is no ordinary school though: this is Hogwarts. So you can expect lots of magic outside of classes too: from magical duels with other students to exploring Hogwarts and discovering all of its secrets. Each staircase can take you somewhere different, they do “like to change” after all.

Despite the fact that Hogwarts Mystery is set before Harry attends the school, there’s still a lot of familiar faces amongst the staff. Favourites like Dumbledore, Snape, Hagrid and others make appearances. It’s not yet clear how these characters will interact with your character outside of the lessons. In fact at this point we’re not even sure if there will be a story or whether it’ll be open-ended.

But Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery definitely offers something every single fan wants: the chance to attend Hogwarts. Even if there’s not a story element you can almost be certain that there will be many secrets to discover, and like the name suggests, mysteries to solve.
